IWF (Institut für den Wissenschaftlichen Film), based in Göttingen, is Germany's service organisation specialising in the production and distribution of audio visual material for research and higher education. The working unit "Culture and Society - Globalisation and Regionalisation" focuses on the documentation of social processes and on the development of special methods in the context of Visual Anthropology. Inside IWF the ISCN-Project is managed by the personnel of this working unit, supported by the "media technology", "documentation and archive" and "distribution" working units

Steve no longer works at SHIFT but continues to work in independent community production as a freelance director, editor, cameraman and trainer. He is currently (2007) working on a production about life in the refugee camps in Gaza. The film follows the experiences of a group of teenage dabka dancers on a tour of the north of England.
