Photograph of Shobha AjayShobha grew up in the railway colony of Charoda where her father worked as a . The family had migrated  from Andra Pradesh in.. Shobha passed class 12th in commerce group through English and then completed a . B.A in Music Diploma in Computer Application.

Before joining Jandarshan she was teaching in  . and taking private tuition at home.

At Jandarshan she specialised in production and editing but also directed two films. During the course two major changes took place in her life, both related in the film Living Memory - she married fellow student Ajay TG and les than a year later suffered the loss of her father. 

She sings and has a serious interest in music and musical composition.

After obtaining her diploma she worked in Jandarshan Raipur.  At the time of writing she had given in her notice to leave and was looking for work in Bhilai where she lives with her husband and his parents.
