Ramesh Kumar Kurre

Photograph of Ramesh Kumar KurreRamesh was educated up to class 8 in Kharagpur, West Bengal, where his father was employed as a railway electrical supervisor. At the age of 13, however, he went to live with his mother and sisters in the village of Parri in Durg district, where his father owns 5 acres of land. In the village he took part in folk theatre and panthi dance.

He did an Industrial Training Institute (ITI) diploma as a fitter in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, and obtained a B.Sc in physics, chemistry, mathematics, from Gurur College, Durg, part of Bhoj University, Bhopal.

At Jandarshan he specialised in camera and editing. Since taking his diploma he has been working for Jandarshan, Raipur.

Interests are current affairs, social activities, journalism reading books watching movies, & playing football & cricket.   

He is interested in working on documentary, current affairs and fiction and, as well as his current roles of editing and camera, hopes to do some direction. He also hopes sometime to work with celluloid film.
